The Town of Kiawah Island has contracted with Quality Counts to conduct annual traffic counts along the Kiawah Island Parkway, as well as Beachwalker Drive and a few other identified locations. Traffic counts will take place across three, two-week periods in June, July, and August.
There will be crews conducting installations today, May 31st, which should not cause any issues from a traffic control standpoint. The first of the three counting periods will begin on June 1st. As you travel through the area, you will see tube counters across the roadway and cameras capturing the number of vehicles driving through.
