UPDATE: Just before 5:30 p.m. on Monday, February 24, 2025, the Sullivan’s Island Police Department received
notification that a missing adult from Mount Pleasant who had expressed suicidal ideations was possibly on the beach near Station 22.
Members of the Police Department began a search for the subject and located him deceased in the sand dunes near Station 24. The subject has been positively identified and SIPD suspects the manner of death is suicide, however, the matter is being investigated by the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office and Charleston County Coroner’s Office.

The Sullivan's Island Police Department is on scene for an incident on the beach at Station 24. They say there is no danger to the public, but residents should avoid the area until the investigation is complete.
